Fyndovn was born out of a simple gift. Joshua Kidwell had been building the lore and districts of Fyndovn for years in his notebooks. When he finally got a Discord game running to play in it, Kella Roberts—broke at the time but wanting to support him—quietly built a custom 3.5e character-sheet app so they could play together.
One call became every call. Over the next few weeks, that small gift evolved into a massive, fully-fledged Virtual Tabletop. Fyndovn is a labor of love: an indie passion project built to give 3.5e players the dedicated tools they deserve, tied directly to the sprawling world that started it all.

- 3.5e Native Architecture: Full character creation and rolling tied directly to the authorized 3.5e SRD. Not a generic ruleset.
- A Living World Included: The dark-magitech city of Fyndovn (150,000 souls) is wired into the VTT with a running chronometer, weather, and deep lore archives.
- AI Archive Assistant: An optional backend tool for players. It doesn't run the game (the GM always does); it helps players instantly recall lore, locations, and rules, reframed for their specific class and race.
- 3D Dice & Themes: Physics-driven WebGL dice with authentic sound and emissive glows, plus UI themes based on city districts.

Product lead, designer, and published author. With no formal engineering background, Kella designed and built the working Fyndovn VTT—its UX, 3.5e systems, and full feature set—through AI-assisted development, validating the entire product in roughly 2.5 weeks.

Original author and worldbuilder of the Fyndovn IP. Joshua created the lore, factions, districts, and the living-world philosophy the entire platform is built to serve. The world came first; the tools exist to run it.
